Vehicles are mobile and they are based on dynamic systems. We need to choose a dynamic way to provide detailed and fast traffic information to those dynamic systems, and OpenLR™ is one such way.

OpenLR™ is a map-agnostic traffic data collection protocol that can convey location information even when using different maps. It was developed by global mapping company TomTom and is a royalty-free, open standard. As many cities in Europe are using OpenLR™ to generate traffic information, it is also applied to Korean vehicles many European countries have imported. OpenLR™ is even versatile because this system can pass location information when using different maps.


Formax Network has already been involved in a project to develop a process to match the traffic information applied to exported Korean vehicles to Europe with the one OpenLR™ provides. We have the technology to build various global standard traffic map systems which can be provided through Roadi platform. It has core solutions in the areas of implementing various contents for drivers, building traffic map systems, and DevOps of related systems.
