The entire nation was shocked and mourned the disaster occurred in South Korea in July 2023. A 430-meter-long underground road near Cheongju City was suddenly flooded when a nearby river overflowed after an embankment collapsed due to torrential rain, leaving many casualties inside 17 vehicles trapped in the flooded underpass.

Since then, in order to prevent the recurrence of such disasters, Korean government and related private companies have developed an alarm system in cooperation, and on July 18 2024, Formax Network’s FX-Traffic RHI(Road Hazard Information) system began to provide the following data to our customers such as mapping and vehicle navigation companies.

《 Additional RHI Core Data 》
 - Real-time Flood Warning
 - Real-time Dam Effluent Data
 - Real-time Underpass Blocking Data

The above data will allow drivers near danger areas to be aware of dangerous situations and avoid hazard zones when navigating, and it is evident that this additional data is truly useful for the safety of all drivers in the country, especially during summer monsoon season when people experience frequent heavy rains and typhoons.

As we have done so far, FX-Traffic has been and will be constantly managed for the improvement of quality and usefulness of the traffic information it provides.
