What’s your ETA?

Friends caught the sight of their friend’s boyfriend with another girl. They urgently call their friend and urge her to come to the spot. As soon as she gets the phone call, she immediately changes lanes to head towards the very spot where her boyfriend was witnessed.
This is the story of the music video of the song titled ”ETA(estimated time of arrival)” sung by K-pop group ‘NewJeans’. When you hear the song, friends keep asking her when she can come by constantly saying “What’s your ETA?” Then, how can we figure out the accurate vehicle ETA?
In order to generate a precise ETA, the real-time traffic information is essential on the basis, and numerous variables within the route should be able to be measured and reflected as well. The elements of variables which should be systematically combined and reflected are ‘road entry and exit traffic situation’, ‘dynamic patterned data predicting overtime traffic conditions to the destination’ and ‘road hazard information such as accidents or regulation along the route.’
All these elements and generation technologies can be provided by our Roadi’s FX-Traffic (www.roadi.net) solution. We carried out a project to improve the usability of center-type navigation route search in Korea, and analyzed the user path provided by the path server, verified the logic through ETA simulation, and carried out a project to improve the ETA module, contributing to the implementation of the optimal ETA.
It’s a joke, but if the above-girl got the route service that utilized FX-Traffic’s contents and solutions, she would definitely arrive on time at the very site of her boyfriend’s affair.
