The ‘International Road & Traffic Expo 2023’ was held in Korea from November 22nd to 24th. More than 120 companies in related fields such as road facilities, smart road transportation systems, and C-ITS attended the fair to learn the latest trends in future road transportation technologies and innovative solutions.

Of course, the interesting part of the exhibition for us was the transportation data field, and the most interesting one in particular was the collection and the provision of road condition data linked to the weather information on the road. That is to say, autonomous and connected car drivers will be able to be provided with the information necessary for safe driving, such as black ice, water film, road temperature, and fog on their route. If accurate information on black ice could be provided to drivers in wintertime, it will be a superlative driving operation for safe driving.



FX-TRAFFIC platform will provide, in the future, not only essential traffic data such as real-time traffic and accident information, but also the ‘road safety weather information’ which will contribute to safe driving. The future traffic information data will be more perfect through AI traffic information system currently under study by FORMAX Network Research Institute.
